We believe that play, particularly outdoor play, is essential for all children. We believe that unstructured outdoor play encourages children to experiment, observe, take safe risks and let their imaginations run free.

We have a child directed program so we might play at the playground for an hour. We might walk around the field and look at everything. We might sit under the trees and watch the sky. The possibilities are endless! We will also have planned activities that focus on science and math. We will have opportunities for the children to create their own art and work on their fine motor skills. We will have story time which will include books, puppets, flannel stories and songs. We will have bathroom time (probably more than one!) and snack time when the children can sit, relax, savour their food and enjoy conversations with each other.

Our typical day will be different each day depending on the children’s needs, ideas and interests!
